Stereoscopic Microscope

Stereoscopic Microscope, also called stereo or dissecting microscope is mainly used in labs. This optical microscope variant can be used for viewing a specimen from three different angles, creating a three-dimensional image of the specimen. This is possible because of the presence of separate objective lenses and eyepieces. The eyepieces for each eye enables viewing the same object in a different way. This equipment functioning at a low magnification provides a long working distance. Rather than using one optical path, it uses two separate optical paths. The stereoscopic microscope is highly demanded in hospitals for conducting micro-surgeries, watch making companies and circuit manufacturers.
